The Country Club of Hilton Head is a par 72 Rees Jones championship design featuring a terrain that meanders through pristine marshlands and pine forests along the intracoastal waterway. The property has served as host to U S Open Qualifying, and is known as a shot maker's course, with 14 holes that dogleg in one direction or the other.
The clubhouse features a pro shop plus snack area serving hot and cold sandwiches, and there also is a half way house. The practice facilities are comprehensive, and include a targeted grass range, short game area with sand bunker plus putting green. Directions:
Exit I-95 at exit 8 for US 278 toward Hilton Head Island. Travel approximately 15 miles, crossing the bridge over the May River onto HHI. One mile after the bridge, turn left at the first traffic light (Squire Pope Rd.). Proceed another mile to the gate house, receive your entry pass, and bear left on Seabrook to the second left turn, Skull Creek Rd. Club is 1/4 mile on the right
